This beautiful old Civil war era CDV photo depicts a sweet face Granny wearing a black dress and bonnet with silk lappets. She is holding a pair of spectacles in her hand. A finial on the back of an antique Victorian era gothic chair is seen behind her back. Written in period ink on the verso: Mrs. Cynthia Stiles, Battle Creek, in beautiful old handwritten black script, probably her own handwriting. This photo has a beautiful old printed photographers graphic backmark. It was found in Brentwood, CA California in Contra Costa or Los Angeles County in 2005, we made note. It has just been listed in late 2019.
