We have found a Sandyston New Jersey, In Sussex County. We have not found reference to a Sandy Stone NJ. John was married to Mary Faurot in PA census records. His image is as crisp and clean as one would ever hope for a family photograph. It is assumed a faurot family member lovingly wrote his info on the tintype mat after his death in 1897. It has two Victorian scraps overlaid. The first is a frame with a mirror type appearance. Upon lifting the frame, underneath there is the text: "Send me your photo, Back in this frame, Tell me your friendship, Is ever the same." Van Dyke, Klous, Applegate, Marsh, Mitchell: 1890-1900 Business Card
of Attorney F.A. Van Dyke, NYC Printed on Card: F.A. VanDyke, Creditor's Attorney,
347 Broadway, New York, Collections and Settlements effected in all
parts of the United States. Also handwritten on front in old dip pen
ink is the name J. Klous, 84 Hawley St., Boston. Reverse has note from
F.A. Van Dyke himself in old handwritten pencil script, which reads:
"On the cars near Cleveland July 16, Dear Sir, In the haste of leaving
I omitted to advise you of my intended absence. If needed in Marsh & Mitchell
will be home on the 23rd. I will furnish the witnesses in the case.
F.A. Van Dyke." On bottom left it appears this note is handwritten to Applegate.

old business card, see below. Approximate age: 1890-1920 State: New
York County: Kings, Queens, New York & Delaware Counties for NY,
and Cuyahoga for Cleveland, Ohio. Found in a large collection of late
19th and early 20th century printed business related cards in Berkshire
County, Massachusetts, MA. Card is printed on heavy old off white cardstock
with simple early American typography font. These business cards give
a wonderful look into early advertising at the turn of the last century,
as well as good genealogy clues. Early Census and business records
can also be of help in finding these lost ancestors and their working
whereabouts, as well as the gen sites for each specific county. Research
into the the architect, building and address they worked at may also

here to search Ancestorville and buy this lost family item. 1546 Rogers: 1850's Hand Sewn Quilt Square of Susan Rogers, ME This is a beautiful old hand signed quilt square, handmade of early fabrics. 18 different squares were found in Portland Maine, Cumberland County all with different women's family names handwritten on them. They are all on our ancestor site. This one has the signature Susan Rogers handwritten in center, in old early dip pen handwriting from the period. Most likely there was a quilting bee and each member made their own squares. Some of the family members are related by same surnames, others may also be related family members also. For whatever reason, the handmade quilt was never finished. This square is hand sewn with the utmost care. Found in Portland, Maine area directly out of a house in that vicinity.
