Grosvenor was born to Ruben Cummings Bowers and Betsey L. UNKNOWN,
26 Nov 1809, Boscowen, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. He married
Harriet G. UNKNOWN, she died 29 Sept 1886 at the age of 71 years.
He died 05 Sept 1883 in Boston, Mass. and was buried in the Woodland
Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio, 29 Sept 1886. (Source: Bowers Family Bible)
The Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland,Ohio replied to
a query 04 April 1979 that they first find Grosvenor in an 1855 Cleveland
City Directory as a car-builder listed with the company of Morrill & Bowers.
His home address was 33 Case Avenue, corner of Lake, Cleveland, Ohio.
His original ancestor in this country was George Bowers born about 1590,
Manby, Lincolnshire, England. Married first Barbara Smythe 09 Feb 1614/15
and second Elizabeth Worthington 1649. He was first reported in Scitutate,
Plymouth County, MA, 1637. His will was dated 08 Nov 1656 and proved
30 Dec 1656. They were connected to the following families: ELLIOTT,
