903 Parker, Stephens, Stevens: 1929 Genealogy Letters of the Parker & Steven
Families, NY, MA, CT This is a series of handwritten letters to
an Aunt Orpha of Buffalo, New York, Erie County, from her nephew Harry
in 1929, concerning the Parker and Stevens or Stephens families. Towns:
Dracut of Middlesex County, Methuen, Andover of Essex County are all
in Massachusetts. They are the areas where the early family members resided,
starting with John Stevens who settled in Andover in 1644. A Julia Parker
married Artemas Stevens in 1824. Julia Parker's parents were Winthrop Parker,
born 1780, Lydia Hall of Dracut, born 1787. There is a war record of Benjamin
Stevens Jr. dated 1775, and he was born 1748. There are 14 handwritten double side pages written in fountain
pen, and packed with information, dates and resources on
these 2 families. Names & Places Mentioned: Elizabeth, Grosvenor Library,
Great Grandmother Hannah Stevens, Johnathon Stevens, Artemas Stevens and
his wife Julia Parker married 1824, son Artemas Orlando Stevens, Uncle Clint,

Connecticut, Revolutionary War record of Benjamin Stevens from Methuen

Dry Goods to Mrs. William Lyons, NY Printed on
receipt: "Bought of Milton S. Price, Jobber and Retail Dealer in Dry Goods,
Carpets, Oil Cloths, Furniture, Upholstery Goods & c., 38 & 40
South Salina and 29 31 & 33 Clinton Streets, Syracuse, New York, Onondaga
County." The ornate advertising billhead is dated May 5, 1886, and is to
Mrs. William Lyons, 11 W. Adams St, and is personally signed by M.S. Price.
The definition of Dry Goods is the selling of textiles, clothing, and related

Smith: 1840-1850's Victorian era Friendship Calling Card of Mary Smith Printed
on card: Mary Smith handwritten twice on reverse, in old period dip
pen ink. The word "Rememberence' is printed on front in the center
of a beautiful early and ornate scene with flowers, ribbon and a bird.
This is a beautiful early coated cardstock card. Approximate age: 1840-50's
Found in a large lot of 19th c. calling cards in the vicinity of Augusta,

is handwritten on back in pencil and again in old period dip pen ink. Osceola
is in Clearfield and Tioga County, Pennsylvania. This photo is of
a posed, very serious young couple, who may be newlyweds. This may
be the same woman in item number #1899 on our site, or Leah and Ina
may be her relatives or sisters. Also, these Perry relatives could easily

Type: Victorian card with strong black mourning
border. Found in Upstate New York, near Livingston, Ontario and Monroe
County. Henritetta NY is in Monroe County. This memorial card
was found together with another Diver family card on our site, item
number #2887, Emily Diver, who may be Isaacs's wife. She died one

914 Wood: 1892 Memorial Funeral Booklet For George Witt Wood,
NY, MA Printed in booklet: "In Memoriam. George
Witt Wood. Died Friday May 20th, 1892, North Bloomfield, New York, Ontario
County. Mr. Wood was born in Hardwick, Massachusetts, Worcester County,
April 2, 1808, moved to Mendon, New York, Monroe County at the age of
12 with his family. Married Roxanna N. Bardeen in 1831. He was active
in his church, St John, confirmed by Bishop DeLancey and an esteemed
member of Grange No. 6, Patrons of Husbandry. He was survived by 3
daughters: Miss Adelphia Wood, Mrs. Frank P. Sherman, and Mrs. George
A. Redman. Funeral Services were officiated by Rev. H.S. Dennis, Rector
of St. John and Rev. L.C. Browne, Chaplain of the Grange. Resolutions
were composed by L.A. Palmer, Grange Deputy for Western New York." This
is a memorial booklet most likely handed out at Mr. Wood's funeral. It

or if the notes are photographer notes penciled in under the frames.
